BP Oil Spill Still Impacting the Gulf 9/5/2012

"The US justice department is blaming BP PLC for the massive 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, describing in new court papers examples of what it calls "gross negligence and willful misconduct".

The court filing is the sharpest position yet taken by the US government as it seeks to hold the British oil giant largely responsible for the largest oil spill, as well as the largest ever environmental disaster, in US history..."

BP Fined Under Clean Water Act

Two years later after the horrible incident, and they are finally getting their punishments under the Clean Water Act.  They report says that BP will be fined anywhere from $5.4 billion to $21.1 billion depending on the degree of negligence.  "Clean Water Act fines typically go into a fund to pay for oil spill cleanup costs and damages, but under the Senate provision 80 percent of the fines would be divided among Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Texas."  The Senate vote was split 76-22, which is a large victory for environmental restoration agencies.  For more information read the article here.

BP Oil Spill Not Covered by Transocean Insurance

A New Orleans judge has ruled that BP Plc’s 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill is not covered by the insurance the company holds with Transocean Ltd.
Following the oil spill in 2010, BP filed claims with the carriers of Transocean Insurance, seeking a payment of $750 million from their numerous policies with the insurer. Several excess underwriters, with Lloyd’s of London and Ranger Insurance, the primary insurer of Transocean, contested BP’s claims, saying that the contract between BP and the owner of the rig did not include this protection.

Saturday Sludge A New Batch of Oil Arrives 8/13/2011

8/12/2011.  You would think that all of the oil from the BP oil spill is cleaned up since that is what the government and mainstream media have been telling us.  Witnesses expose the oil still washing up on shores and innocent people swimming in the toxic water.

People Swimming in the Contaminated Waters, Rethink Your Next Vacation to the Beach

Citizens swim in the contaminated water.  The oil that was claimed to have disappeared is still washing up on shores along the coast.  These vacationers are all unsuspecting victims of the BP oil spill.

Time Isn't Healing

August 10, 2011.  The oil still washes up on shores and kills wildlife.  How long will we let this last?  We are sitting back and watching our planet get destroyed because we have so many distractions.  If we didn't have computers, television, ipods, and other gadgets to keep us busy we would be outraged because our concerns would be going towards something that effects our country, not only our personal lives.

2011 and the Oil Still Persists

Despite the constant reassurance from the government and the mainstream media.  Citizens living along the coast expose the crude oil still washing up on beaches.
